Ski Weekend Update

Summer is here!

Winter 2007/2008 is finally over. A very successful season that will be remembered for lots of snow right from the first weekend in December all the way through to the May bank holiday.

Now that the summer is here at Ski Weekend we don't just put our feet up and wait for the next snow....

The skis may have gone back in the garage but the walking boots and mountain bikes are now being dusted off for the coming season.

Have a look at our summer programme on our sister site www.nodeckchair.com.

Walking, biking and activity short breaks based in Chamonix and beyond.

If you haven't been to the Alps in the summer before then now is the time to visit!

Chamonix is more relaxed outside of winter without the rush for the first lift in the morning - warm sunny days, cool evenings and plenty to keep you entertained.

Ski Weekends - Accommodation

When time on the slopes is your priority, we take you to hotels close to the action. To get the most from your break - maximum time on the slopes with minimum fuss - it makes sense to choose a resort with easy access to varied skiing. It is important that the resort can deal with unpredictable snow conditions. And, of course, you'll want good après-ski and non-skiing facilities. In addition to our own luxurey chalet close to the centre of Chamoniz (click here for more details)

We offer a range of quality, family-run accommodation on a B&B or half-board basis. This includes small 2-3 star hotels, larger 4 star hotels with meeting rooms and conference facilities, and luxury chalets. The choice is yours, depending on your personal requirements.

Accommodation ratings

All our accommodation has been personally vetted by us to ensure it meets our own high standards of comfort and cleanliness. For convenience and simplicity we have divided our accommodation into three categories: Standard, Special and Luxury.

Standard
A selection of two-star hotels in which all rooms have private facilities. The food will be typically French or Swiss with specialities such as fondue, raclette and brasserade.

Special
In our mid-range, three-star hotels all our accommodation has private facilities. More comfortable than their two-star counterparts and usually offer balconies & sauna. We know from experience that the food will be excellent.

Luxury
At the top of our range we offer three- to five-star hotels, apartments and chalets with all the facilities of our special category but with more luxurious surroundings and additional facilities such as health clubs, gyms and swimming pools.
