Your choice of accommodation is central to the success of your weekend. We take special care in choosing a hotel or chalet to match your specific requirements.
All the accommodation we use has been personally vetted by us to ensure it meets our own high standards of comfort and cleanliness.
Most of our accommodation is family-owned and run.
The owners and managers are accustomed to catering for the special needs of Ski Weekend clients.
We have every confidence that they and their staff will provide a warm welcome and a personal service.

When you speak to our staff in the UK you can be confident that they are speaking from personal experience about your accommodation.
They will have spent much of the off-season scouring the Alps, investigating hotels and resorts suitable for ski weekends.
Our team will have had personal experience of the ski resort and will be able to put your mind at rest about all the small details that are vital to making your skiing holiday a success.

We offer a wide range of accommodation to suit individual budgets and requirements.
The minimum we offer is a 2 star hotel; with all rooms having en-suite bath or shower facilities (except in some chalet accommodation).
At the other end of the scale, for a really special ski weekend we can arrange a luxury suite in a 5 star hotel.

On a short ski break time is at a premium and the critical factor in your ski weekend will be your travel arrangements. Get them right and you’ll enjoy yourself. Get them wrong and your ski weekend’s spoiled.
How you travel is your choice. We can offer scheduled flights with traditional and low cost airlines. We can also book ferry crossings or the Channel Tunnel.
Whichever you choose, we aim to get you to the ski resort feeling calm and stress free and ready to start your ski break on a high.
Whatever your option, call us and we will be happy to provide costings.
When choosing your resort there are a number of criteria to consider:
Our flights, your flights, air miles, no frills or, club class, how you fly is up to you.
We are more than happy to organise flights for you and have access to all of the key European Alpine gateways.
If we book your flights, you will have financial protection of your holiday package under our ATOL licence.
Geneva, Zurich and Milan are our main inbound airports, but anything is possible, although to really maximise your ski time it is best to limit the transfer time between airport and ski resort to around two hours.
Regional departures make the whole travel experience more pleasant and our experts are happy to advise on the most suitable route to the snow.
Transfers can make or ruin a short break. Short and quick is the key to success.
We have a variety of options open to us to suit your budget; from hire cars to helicopters.
In the vast majority of cases we meet each individual flight IE just yours, no waiting for anyone else.
However in busy periods we do reserve the right to combine flights, but we would not expect anyone to wait more that 40 minutes at the airport before heading off to the resort.
You can, by all means, request a private transfer at an additional cost.
For transfers from Geneva airport to Chamonix (approx 70 minutes), we would normally provide the transfer in one of our own luxury air-conditioned vehicles. This is assuming your flight’s arrival and departure times are out of normal skiing time.
Our resort staff can’t ski and drive at the same time!
For larger groups, other resorts, or out of hours transfers we have an established team of transfer providers at our disposal ranging from taxi services to luxury 50 seater coaches according to your requirements.
For a truly special experience nothing beats the drama and excitement of a helicopter straight from the airport to the resort.
The critical factor
We have always emphasized the great value and fantastic snow at the beginning and end of the winter season. There are ski holiday bargains to be had and more often than not masses of snow.
Last winter really proved our point, with astonishing quantities of snow for our Val d’Isere warm up ski weekend and great skiing in Chamonix, well into May.
We start the winter off with our Warm Up Ski Weekend in Val d’ Isere; normally the first weekend of December. The following weekends, up until Christmas we run our 3 Countries in One Weekend ski trip. Then in the late spring we offer our April Activities, spring skiing, ski touring and of course skiing, making maximum advantage of the warmer and longer days.
Key points for early and late season skiing:
This year our warm up ski weekend will be led by Gavin Foster and the Ski Weekend resort team and will feature our top mountain guides and ski instructors:
We will also be providing ski orientation all day with the Ski Weekend resort team and afternoon skiing with Gilbert and Guillaume is available, at an extra cost. Last year's ski weekend warm up was one of the best yet.
From £599.00
Call 01392 878353 or email gavin@skiweekend.com for more details.
From the first weekend of December until Christmas we will ski in any of a range ski resorts within 2 hrs of Geneva.
It is often the case that there will be great snow in one area and very little only just down the road.
Although we have never offered a snow guarantee in one resort we have always made it our policy to take you to the best available snow in the area.
We have no interest in bashing up and down the same stretch of man-made snow all day when 40 minutes down the road there is perfect snow!
Having our resort staff and vehicles in position in the Alps ready for an early start means we are able to respond quickly to changes in the ski conditions on a daily basis. We have had fantastic ski weekends when we have skied one day in Chamonix, one in Verbier, and another in Morzine following the powder.
Pasta in Italy, Fondue in Switzerland and the full French gastronomique experience, that's a great ski weekend and surely beats Christmas shopping!
We concentrate our late ski season programme in Chamonix. The ski resort traditionally closes after the first weekend in May and last year over 2 metres of snow fell in April.
With most of its skiing above 2000m and north-facing, the season inevitability ends leaving vast areas of perfect snow in and around Chamonix.
Some of the best skiing of the season can be found on the slopes of the Grands Montets with very few people and in glorious spring sunshine. The longer spring days mean there is no urgency to get up at day break.
Early spring offers the best combination of winter on the ski slopes and spring in the valley. It is very easy to ski in the morning and spend the afternoon playing tennis, mountain biking, or fit in a round of golf on Chamonix’s 18 hole course.
Prices are at their lowest in late season and with increased availability on flights and accommodation it gives you the greatest choice. Not only that but the the ski resorts are at their quietest and most relaxing.

The Choice is Yours
You will want to make the most of your ski weekend break, so there are a number of criteria to consider:
For the maximum time on the snow, you need to keep the transfer time to a minimum. It’s worth choosing a ski resort where you are confident of good access even in heavy snowfalls, a good snow record and a mixture of skiing to suit the levels in your group are vital.
Other factors are après and non-skiing facilities and whether the resort is purpose built or traditional.
