01. Max out your weekend!
We are here to make sure your stay with us is as good as it could possibly be
Our mission when you travel with us is to make sure that you get what you want out of your stay. We have some great ideas of the things that people like and enjoy time and again like hooning it up in fresh untracked pow, cruising blue or red pistes, lunches in the Cremerie du Mont Blanc below the Grands Montets ski area or a languid midday feast at the Maison Veille in Courmayeur.
We’re also pretty confident that you’ll find the scenery awesomely inspiring. Wherever you ski, the majesty of the Alps surrounds you – from the dominance of Mont Blanc and the serrated skyline of the Chamonix Aiguilles to impressive glacial vistas and plunging descents. You can confidently leave everything to us though if there’s something particular you’d like to do just ask….
02. On y va!
Our staff are in resort to help…
We have experts in resort whose sole purpose is to make sure that you have a great time with us. They are knowledgeable about everything from where to find a decent cup of coffee, a quick snack or a lively bar for a good night out. Each day they’ll check the forecast and suggest good places to go to ski for the day to get the most out of the day.
We also have our own vehicles in the resort which we use each day to take guests out to the ski areas and pick you up, slightly wearier but happy, at the end of the day. If you’ve chosen to ski with an Instructor or a Mountain Guide our staff will liaise with them and make sure that you meet them at the right place and at the allotted hour.
When we head out through the Mont Blanc tunnel towards Courmayeur or over the pass to Switzerland they’ll be there with you to help you make the very most out of the journey and give you the knowledge you need to get skiing as quickly as possible.
03. A guiding hand
Snowsport instructors & Mountain Guides: Getting the most out of the ski area is essential, particularly on a short visit. Ski Weekend has established a core of top class and highly experienced Snowsports Instructors and Mountain Guides all of whom have worked with us for many years; we trust them to have your best interests at heart.
Our Instructors get great feedback on their knowledge and ability to get the most out your skiing or boarding and our Mountain Guides know where to find the best and quietest Pow stashes or the best and least frequented runs.
They will regale you with mountain tales the whole day through whilst effortlessly helping you fulfil your wildest ski dreams.
If you need an Instructor or a Mountain Guide during your stay with us tell us at the time of booking and we’ll arrange everything for you.
04. Away days
Sometimes we head out of the main Chamonix Valley to ski. There are any number of reasons why we might choose to do this but usually it’s because we think you’ll find better weather and better snow. Occasionally it’s just down to a change of scenery for you.
The two places we visit regularly are Courmayeur on the south side of Mt Blanc and Verbier in Switzerland. We also go to Les Contamines and Megeve on occasions. On the days we head to these places we’ll probably leave a little earlier than we would do if we were skiing in the Valley. Our resort staff will do all the planning and organisation for this all you’ll need to do is get your personal ski kit and hop in the minibus…
05. Further afield
Coaching & adventure skiing: Each winter we offer a varied programme of pre-arranged courses. These include Instructional courses in sking and boarding skills and techniques as well as Guided trips such as the Chamonix to Zermatt High Level Route.
We’re also delighted to be associated with a fantastic Heliski operation based in the little known but exquisite region of the Vallee de Stura on the French/Italian border.
