Ski the Haute Route
Loads of SnowThe Haute Route is one of the most famous ski touring routes in the world. For many skiers it is the trip of a lifetime.
We have organised a guided trip for the week of 13th – 21st April 2012.
The itinerary is as follows:
Day 1
There are two choices:
a) An early morning flight into Geneva, then transfer to Chamonix. Organise kit and have half a day’s skiing.
b) A better, more relaxed option is to arrive during the day and have the kit sorted on arrival, and then start with a full day on the slopes the following day.
Equipment: touring skis, touring boots, skins, crampons, ice axes, and all kit, pre-reserved and then checked. It is essential that the boots fit and that all the gear works. NB. We will need to know your ski lengths and your boot sizes to reserve gear.
Day 2
Preparation ski tour, practising the all important kick turns and safety techniques.
Days 3-8
Departure for the Haute Route: Chamonix – Argentiere – Zermatt. Half board accommodation in Mountain Refuges along the route.
Day 8
Arriving in Zermatt, with transfer to back to Chamonix and a long hot bath!
Day 9

Cost: £1189 per person, based on 4 - 6 guests.
