Coronavirus Statement: Ski Weekend

As government updates continue regarding the approach to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we would like to confirm our position.

[Update 05 May] The Aiguille du Midi and Montenvers lifts will open on 16 May

Situation in Chamonix

All lifts in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc remain closed until further notice.

The French government is reviewing the situation and certain sectors of the economy will re-open from 11 May.

It is planned for schools and kindergartens to re-open, but restrictions will remain on public gatherings and bars and restaurants may remain closed into the summer months.

Current Government Advice

The FCO currently does not advise travel to any foreign countries.

If you feel you might have Coronavirus, the UK government recommended procedure is that you should contact the 111 Coronavirus service to determine the next steps. You should not go to your doctor, GP or Pharmacy.

Limit the spread of infection

To help limit the spread of infections in general, you should take some simple steps including covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze.

You should also ensure that you regularly wash your hands with soap and water and use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.
