Chamonix is the perfect environment to explore on skins whether you are just starting out or already experienced with terrain for all abilities and unrivaled lift access.

Snowboard ability

You must have a good level of snowboarding - able to confidently ride off piste. You must be physically fit as we will be ascending 500m-1000m per day with a backpack.

Based in Chamonix but with the MBU ski pass we have access to the Evasion Mont Blanc (St Gervais, Les Contamines etc) and Courmayeur, Italy areas so we have the freedom to go to wherever the weather and conditions are best.

Land in Geneva and transfer up to Chamonix. If flight times allow we will take you to arrange your equipment hire when you arrive in Chamonix.

Meet your guide and Ski Weekend rep at 08:30 am - we take you to get your equipment hire. Avalanche and glacier safety briefing and practice. Instruction on how to use splitboard and equipment and an easy tour - 2-3 hours up to the Col des Dards, or similar.

A classic Chamonix splitboard tour such as the Cruches-Berard traverse or Col du Tour Noire. Organised meal out in the evening.

Another classic Chamonix splitboard tour such as the Col du Passon.

As it is departure day we will have a shorter tour, for example from the Aiguille du Midi lift over to Italy for a cappuccino, or up to the Col d'Entreves, and then ride back down the Vallee Blanche to return to Chamonix. Return transfers to Geneva airport for your flight back.

Every package is tailormade to your requirements.

Ski Weekends in Chamonix, France Ski Weekends

Staying at the Hotel Mont-Blanc is treating yourself to a true symbol of the valley - one of two delightful five-star properties in the heart of Chamonix.

Chamonix is our main base. The ski area itself is vast and spreads all along the valley and across to St Gervais, Megeve and Les Contamines. The variety of skiing on and off piste is well documented and in case you’re tempted to think the accolades are over-effusive we can tell you that they are not.

The town couldn’t be more different from the typical, purpose built French ski resort. It is steeped in both history and the towering mountain scape in which it sits. You don’t have to be an expert to enjoy the place, but it is the adventurous who really benefit from the range of activities available, and that indescribable vibe of being in the ‘home of Alpinism’.

Chamonix is a long established, year-round tourist town that has a large permanent population and hence great access to everything you may need. Spread along a linear valley, there are 5 distinctly different ski domains/resorts and some of Europe’s most renowned ski itineraries.
