Ski Weekend Pre Departure Information

 

Thank you for booking with Ski Weekend! Below is some useful information for you to ensure your weekend goes smoothly. We want you to experience the very best the Alps has to offer, so if there is anything we can do don’t hesitate to let us know.

 

Flight information

If Ski Weekend has booked your flights, you will have financial protection under our ATOL licence (2775). All the flights and flight inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected either by ABTOT or the ATOL scheme. When you pay for something protected by the ATOL scheme you will be supplied with an ATOL Certificate.
If you haven't received it, please do ask us or check your confirmation email(s) to ensure that everything you booked (flights, hotels and other services) is listed on it.

Dependent on your carrier, if your flights are booked by us, we will assist with providing you the relevant booking reference and/or boarding passes as suitable. In addition, your flight reference number is printed on your invoice.


If you have booked your own flights, please ensure we have your flight details as soon as possible and should you need advice with other travel elements, just let us know.

 

On arrival

If you have opted for a SHARED transfer to Chamonix, when you enter the arrivals hall you should make your way to our transport partners at the Mountain Drop Offs check point sign (to the left of the Tekeo cafe opposite the UBS bank teller) unless you see a Ski Weekend sign with the lead party name. You are normally sent a text from your driver with welcome details.

Shared transfers normally operate hourly and therefore a short wait may be possible until the next one departs. You can upgrade your transfer to PRIVATE up to one week prior to departure subject to availability* (*cost dependent on number in party)

For all PRIVATE transfers, you will be personally met as you enter the arrivals hall for any of the gateways we use across the Alps.

Look out for a SKI WEEKEND or your lead party name.

 

Return transfers

For all return transfers, you will be advised of your departure time the evening before via text. Shared transfers normally allow for a longer journey time, but collection times are based on local traffic conditions and your scheduled flight departure time. 

 

Ski passes

We will deliver your ski passes to your accommodation if you have pre-bought these. Let us know if you require this service - we're happy to help.

 

Equipment rental

For Premium or Conciege service clients in Chamonix, we will facilitate your equipment hire and organise shuttle transportation to the slopes each morning. Talk to us about your requirements for your chosen trip and we will work with our local partners to provide the best solution.

 

 

Shuttles in Chamonix

Ski Weekend are a unique provider of in-valley transport in Chamonix to get you skiing with less fuss. The service can be an AM collection or PM return from the slopes collection and times are normally pre-agreed the day before. The driver will take you to the best part of the valley based on local conditions and abilities within your group.

Lessons and guides

We would be delighted to assist you with booking one of our fully qualified private guides or instructors and partner services. Please give as much notice as possible and note that specific itineraries in any resort can be subject to conditions (eg. the Vallee Blanche, Chamonix).

 

Restaurants & activities

Reservations for lunch and/or dinner as well as numerous resort activities can be made via the Ski Weekend team prior to departure or in resort. Please give as much notice as possible to ensure availability. Lunch reservations are normally made on the day subject to conditions etc.

 

 

Don't travel without it

It is a requirement when travelling with us to have appropriate insurance. Please ensure that you are also covered for off piste skiing. Please provide us with these details prior to departure and make sure you have your EHIC cards as well.

OUR CHAMONIX SERVICES

In Chamonix we offer a broad range of client services to suit your trip. From a morning shuttle to whisk you up to the slopes ahead of the crowds, to a full concierge service approach. Your package will have been designed around your needs but we broadly offer 3 options:

 

  • Independent or basic packages are where Ski Weekend serve your simplest needs for accommodation and transfer provisions. We can offer additional requests for ski extras and set up reservations as required.

  • Our Premium level of service adds in a more dedicated service from our Resort Manager and the team. They will help with additional elements of your trip, and we can also add in a resort shuttle service to collect you both mornings and/or afternoons as agreed in your package.

  • Ski Weekend’s concierge services go even further to tailor make a trip with your exacting needs fully catered for. These are often bespoke/ custom requests – anything from a heli-trip to a high mountain experience. It could simply be looking after children or remaining on stand-by throughout a day/ or your trip.
