After 20 years in the Alps our quest to ski the best snow on great slopes remains undiminished. However, it has become increasingly difficult to show clients the best snow and keep it to ourselves. The once-secret spots are all too well known, and get ripped up before your eyes with the all too easy fat skis and new generation “free riders”. There are still a few secret places, and this winter we will take our clients to these areas, over four day weekends, using our team of top mountain guides and instructors. We will not be publicising where these areas are! However, they are within easy reach of Chamonix and Geneva.
Ski Weekend and the Off Piste team have skied and researched these special domains, where you can ski powder, at your leisure and without the worry and stress of the “free ride gang” getting it before us, long after the last snow fall. If you would like to join a group, or let us know when you would like to go with your own private group (min 4 max 6).
Strong parallel skiers with off-piste experience and a good level of fitness
As we are partners with Sanglard in Chamonix, we were very pleased to secure a discount for all our guests, past, present and future.
Do bear in mind if you need rental equipment it is a very good idea to book in advance especially in high season. We have worked with Sanglard Sports for 19 years now and you can book online to secure the best deal and you can obtain 15-40% discount and you can obtain a further 5% discount by using code skiweekend.
If you are in Chamonix and prefer just to go into the shop then we can also provide a 15% discount voucher, just email Doug. They also have 3 shops in the valley, 1 in Chamonix centre, 1 at the foot of the slopes in Argentiere and 1 in Vallorcine so if you have an issue on the slopes it is easy to pop in when you are on the slopes.
Sanglards is situated in the centre of Chamonix. There is car parking outside the shop. If you don’t have your own transport then please contact us and we will arrange for you to be collected from the chalet and taken back – please give at least 1 weeks notice
Experience the diverse cultural and gastronomic heritage of the mountains in the ski resorts and massifs of France. With its modern chairlifts and the huge linked skiable areas on offer, there are not many better places to go. From the beginning of October until the beginning of May, France delivers unbelievable ski conditions and as many ski resorts are located at high-altitude, the snow's quality is better and lasts longer.
Our main base is located in Chamonix and for good reason, the variety of skiing on and off piste is simply the best, meaning we can run most of our courses from this legendary ski resort. For intermediate skiers, the charming and beautiful La Clusaz should be a strong contender for your ski weekend with over 130km of intermediate slopes. We also run ski weekends and short breaks from Méribel and Val d'Isère, both known worldwide as top ski resorts with incredible infrastructure.
